SmartChurch Adds New Privacy Feature

SmartChurch, the #1 free-for-life church app in the world, has added a new privacy feature to their Premium church apps. Now, churches leaders are able to choose in their Admin settings whether to make their church private or public. The new feature is already being cheered by SmartChurch users across the world.

How does it work?

This new feature gives churches leaders more control over who is following their church on the church app. As members and visitors download SmartChurch and follow their church, church leaders who have activated the privacy feature will receive an email and notification asking for permission to allow this person to follow their church. The church leader can choose whether to add them to the church member directory or give them access to other popular features such as the Media library and church giving features.

Why has it taken so long for SmartChurch to add this feature?

For a long time, SmartChurch has believed that having an open church would be more welcom-ing to visitors and new members. While the ability to follow a church was seamless and instant, church leaders who used the Premium version of SmartChurch were always able to remove a person from the church app at any time. However, concerns over a lack of privacy for church members sharing personal information were preventing many churches from using Smart-Church Premium.

SmartChurch Premium is the most feature-rich version of SmartChurch. While hundreds of churches around the world use SmartChurch Freemium and can enjoy many free features such as the church events calendar, church wall, and the directory, other churches choose to upgrade to SmartChurch Premium to gain access to anytime push notifications, unlimited Admins, the media library and the popular church giving features.  All in all, churches can choose what works best for them and upgrade or downgrade at anytime without losing any information in the process.
